From crypto courses to millions of dollars: how Oleksandr Orlovskyi’s Financial Freedom Academy pulled thousands of people into a financial trap

Oleksandr Orlovskyi, even when he was the founder of Financial Freedom Academy, created a criminal group engaged in defrauding crypto investors.

The media learned about this from victims of the fraud.

The fraudster and his associates, lacking any licenses, certificates, or diplomas to confirm their competence in the field of cryptocurrency circulation, deceitfully attract funds from crypto investors under the guise of selling «courses» and «crypto investments.» Subsequently, the services are provided only formally, leading to the loss of investors’ money.

The fraudulent attraction of funds is carried out through accounts of controlled individual entrepreneurs, cryptocurrency exchanges, and crypto wallets of individuals who are members of the organized criminal group (OCG), which results in tax evasion. Later, using crypto exchangers, they purchase real estate and corporate rights at reduced prices, including in Poland, Turkey, and the UAE, thereby laundering the funds.

Orlovskyi is also in a criminal conspiracy with several cryptocurrency projects that are issuers of cryptocurrencies. As a result, in FFA «courses,» clients are instructed to buy specific cryptocurrencies, leading to their financial losses, while the fraudster and others receive a portion of the funds as a «kickback» from the issuers.

Orlovskyi, being in a criminal conspiracy with the management of the Russian platform VELES, attracts clients for FFA from the territory of the Russian Federation, pays for advertising and his own referral link in Russia, and withdraws criminally obtained funds using Russian services. This leads to the inflow of funds into the Russian budget and indicates the commission of a number of criminal offenses against the Fundamentals of Ukraine’s National Security. Statements indicate that as a result of such actions, approximately 15,000 people were defrauded in a fraudulent manner for an estimated amount of 4 million dollars.
