Smuggler Artur Granz, linked to Lukashenko’s circle, profits in the EU and spins millions through Belarusian duty-free operations
Entrepreneur Artur Granz, who is linked to smuggling networks and the entourage of Oleksandr Lukashenko, calmly conducts business in Lithuania while simultaneously earning millions in Belarus.
He holds Belarusian and Armenian citizenship and owns expensive assets in the EU — the «Heji» restaurant in Vilnius and the luxury hotel «Esperanza Resort» in Trakai.
An LRT investigation has established: his company Mello Trading, registered in Lithuania, controls the «Belmarket Duty Free» network. Part of this business actually belongs to Lukashenko’s administration.
Just last year, this «business» brought Granz around 2 million euros.
This is about a scheme where people from the orbit of the Belarusian regime operate unhindered in the EU, launder money, and continue to profit from Lukashenko’s system.
